\u201cToday, we primarily discussed how our next joint steps can provide Ukraine and all of Europe with greater security and bring the real end of the war closer,\u201d Zelenskyy said.<\/p>\n

He expressed gratitude to NATO for its support of Ukraine, particularly highlighting the new assistance mechanism \u2014 the PURL program, which enables the purchase of weapons from the United States.<\/p>\n

According to Zelenskyy, the initiative is already operational and has attracted $1.5 billion from European partners, with additional participants expected to join soon.<\/p>\n

The president noted that this mechanism allows Ukraine to acquire essential weapons from the United States, including Patriot air defense systems, missiles, and HIMARS.<\/p>\n

\u201cOn average, it\u2019s about a billion dollars per month. We discussed with Mark that it could be a billion, or even a billion and a half, per month. We need to continue working on this. Recall, the United States and NATO launched a new mechanism to support Ukraine<\/a> through the Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List (PURL) initiative.<\/p>\n
