The Russians have upgraded their Orlan reconnaissance drones so that they can carry FPV drones.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by<\/a> journalist Andriy Tsaplienko.<\/p>\n

“Anti-aircraft guns of the 118th separate mechanized brigade destroyed the Orlan, which was carrying two FPV drones under its wings,” Tsaplienko reported.<\/p>\n

It is noted that before this, the pilots of the pursuers had already shot down dozens of enemy reconnaissance aircraft “Orlan”, “Zala” and “Supercam”, but the “reconnaissance aircraft-mother” was destroyed for the first time.<\/p>\n

As the defenders explain, carrier drones are used to deliver and launch strike drones over long distances, which poses a serious threat. Destroying such a target is an important step in countering the enemy’s new tactics.<\/p>\n

Recall that enemy Shahed-type strike drones have undergone another modernization – some of the recently shot down drones were found to have installed video cameras.<\/a><\/p>\n
