Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said that the country is ready for war at any moment, and the security of the state is ensured by the people and the armed forces.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He said this after signing a peace agreement with Armenia, Adalet<\/a> reports.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

“The guarantee of our security is ourselves, the state, the people and our armed forces. Anyone who decides to strike at Azerbaijan will regret it,” Aliyev emphasized.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

He said that Azerbaijan had strengthened its army in the Caspian Sea and other areas, increased the number of special forces and received modern drones, new artillery systems and modernized combat aircraft. Baku is also expecting new aircraft.<\/p>\n

Aliyev stressed that the republic has powerful allies and strong positions in international organizations. He also stated that Azerbaijan does not seek war and has not seized foreign territories, but must remain vigilant.<\/p>\n

The statement was made against the backdrop of worsening relations with Moscow. Earlier, Russian propagandists threatened Baku with a “special military operation” after the war against Ukraine. In particular, host Vladimir Solovyov allowed for the appearance of NATO bases in the Caspian Sea region, hinting at Azerbaijan’s cooperation with Turkey.<\/p>\n

Let us recall that Azerbaijan may lift the embargo<\/a> on arms supplies to Ukraine.<\/p>\n
