On the night of August 23, Ukrainian drones struck two railway infrastructure facilities in southern Russia – in the Rostov and Volgograd regions. The attack delayed the movement of almost 40 trains.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Moscow Times<\/a> reports this with reference to Russian Railways.<\/p>\n

According to Russian Railways, the Rossosh-Sokhranovka railway section in Rostov Oblast was attacked for the second time this week. The Sergeevka station was damaged, where the operation of the contact network was disrupted. The movement of 38 trains was delayed for up to 3 hours and 40 minutes.<\/p>\n

Rostov Governor Yuri Slyusar reported that Ukrainian UAVs were shot down in Chortkovsky, Sholokhovsky and Millerovsky districts. Falling debris caused several fires, which were quickly extinguished. There were no casualties.<\/p>\n

In the Volgograd region, the city of Petrov Val came under fire: a building near a jewelry store at the railway station caught fire, and windows were broken in residential buildings. The Petrov Val station is a junction on the Privolzhskaya Railway and has 18 tracks with a locomotive depot.<\/p>\n
