As of 16:00 on August 23, 71 combat clashes were recorded on the front line.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported<\/a> this.<\/p>\n

Russian troops shelled border areas of Chernihiv and Sumy regions, including the settlements of Klyusy, Guta-Studenetska, Novovasilovka, Seredyna-Buda, Progress and Belaya Bereza. Old Guta, Novaya Guta and Bunyakino were hit by airstrikes.<\/p>\n

In the Severo-Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, the enemy attacked Ukrainian positions twice, the fighting continues. The Russians also carried out four airstrikes, using 13 guided bombs, and carried out 82 shellings, including one from the MLRS. Ukrainian units were successful in some areas.<\/p>\n

In the Yuzhno-Slobozhansky direction, two combat clashes were recorded. In Kupyansky, the enemy tried to advance three times, two attacks were repelled, and another clash is ongoing.<\/p>\n
