US Vice President J.D. Vance said that the United States seeks to end the war in Ukraine within three to six months through diplomacy and international efforts.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He said this for Meet the Press on NBC News,<\/span> RBC-Ukraine reports<\/span><\/a> .<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a war and we want to stop the killing. The Russians have done a lot of things that we don\u2019t like, a lot of civilians have died,\u201d Vance assured.<\/span><\/p>\n

He added that the United States has condemned Russian aggression against Ukraine from the very beginning.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to him, current US President Donald Trump is actively working to resolve the war through diplomacy and has already done more than his predecessor Joe Biden.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAnd whatever the outcome – the war will end in three or six months, hopefully no later – we should be proud that we have a president who is trying to stop the killing,\u201d the US vice president noted.<\/span><\/p>\n

Trump previously said that it would be clear within the next two weeks whether peace could be achieved in Ukraine<\/a> . If that doesn’t happen, he warned of the possibility of finding “another approach” to resolving the war.<\/p>\n

Recall that Trump’s peace strategy involves three steps<\/a> : a meeting between Trump and Putin; a meeting between Trump and Zelensky; and a trilateral meeting involving the leaders of Ukraine, the United States, and Russia to finally discuss the agreement.<\/p>\n
