Slovak Foreign and European Affairs Minister Juraj Blanar said that attacks by Ukrainian forces on the Druzhba oil pipeline pose a threat to both Slovakia’s energy security and Ukraine itself. According to him, the Slovak plant Slovnaft provides about 10% of Ukraine’s diesel consumption, and any disruptions in oil transportation could put these supplies at risk.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Blanar emphasized that strikes by the Ukrainian military on this infrastructure, which transports Russian oil to Slovakia, contradict the country’s national interests and, at the same time, may have a negative impact on Ukraine.<\/p>\n

He explained that the Slovnaft refinery in Bratislava is key to supplying the Ukrainian market with fuel. The company supplies about 10% of Ukraine’s monthly diesel consumption. If the Druzhba pipeline is damaged or its operation becomes more difficult, this could lead to a reduction in exports to Ukraine.<\/p>\n

The Slovak Foreign Minister said that he had already discussed this topic by phone with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga. He emphasized that protecting fuel supplies is strategically important for Bratislava, and therefore this topic is actively raised both in bilateral negotiations and at the European level.<\/p>\n

“We understand that it is difficult for Ukraine, but this infrastructure is very important for us. Ukraine also risks being left without sufficient fuel supplies, and that is why I will continue the dialogue with both Kyiv and partners in the EU,” said Blanar.<\/p>\n

He also added that the most important task is to end the war in Ukraine as soon as possible, and emphasized that the initiative of US President Donald Trump can “very significantly” contribute to this.<\/p>\n

Earlier, Slovak Foreign Minister Juraj Blanar said that Ukraine’s attacks on the Russian Druzhba oil pipeline not only contradict the interests of Bratislava, but also harm Kyiv.<\/a><\/p>\n

It is worth noting that Ukrainian drones hit a strategic facility on Russian territory – an oil pumping station in the city of Unecha, Bryansk region<\/a> . The facility is part of the Druzhba oil pipeline system.<\/p>\n

Later, Foreign Minister P\u00e9ter Szijj\u00e1rt\u00f3 again announced the attack on the Druzhba oil pipeline<\/a> , which caused the supply of Russian oil to his country to stop.<\/p>\n
