In recent years, Ukrainians have come to a deeper understanding of the meaning of independence, for which they pay the highest price on the front. The path to this realization was long and difficult, but part of society has begun to lose the ability to unite in difficult times, so we need to rally around the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the parliament must restore its subjectivity.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported on the air of “Pryamoy” by Ukrainian diplomat Roman Bezsmertny<\/a> and People’s Deputy from “Eurosolidarity” Iryna Gerashchenko<\/a> .<\/p>\n

“I had to go such a long way from the fact that I saw that part of the Ukrainian establishment was ashamed of this day, to the present moment when they are proud of this day. Therefore, we can say that this is the period when the world seemed to have turned upside down. So much so that society, people began to feel the importance of independence as a kind of chance to be free, live in a democratic society and realize themselves. But there were other times,” said Roman Bezsmertny, a Ukrainian politician and diplomat, Ambassador of Ukraine to Belarus in 2010-2011.<\/p>\n

At the same time, he emphasized that over these 34 years, Ukraine has gone through a difficult path that for many countries lasted centuries.<\/p>\n

“This is a long path, a very meaningful path. And it is very deep from the point of view of understanding the situation, although we understand perfectly well that a person lives by myths, signs, symbols, and you can’t get away from this. And therefore, these symbols, signs, and myths show how much Ukrainian society is becoming stronger, more powerful, more persistent, and values are crystallizing more clearly in it. In general, I would call them Christian values,” the Ukrainian diplomat is convinced.<\/p>\n

People’s Deputy from “European Solidarity” Iryna Gerashchenko also believes that society has finally realized the true value of independence, for which Ukrainians are paying the highest price on the front.<\/p>\n

“For all Ukrainians, since 2014 and especially since 2022, the realization has come that this is really about restoring independence, for which generations of Ukrainians fought. And the realization of the value of freedom, will, sovereignty has come, for which Ukraine is paying the highest price today. I want to thank the Armed Forces of Ukraine once again… This is the highest price – this is the price of the men and women who have given their lives for our sovereignty in the Armed Forces of Ukraine since 2014,” Gerashchenko noted.<\/p>\n

However, over the years of the full-scale invasion, Ukrainians have begun to lose their national trait – the ability to unite in the hour of the worst trials. Therefore, society must rally around the Armed Forces of Ukraine, – adds the MP.<\/p>\n\t\t
