Head of the Office of the President of Poland, Zbigniew Bohutski, denied fears about the possible disconnection of Ukraine from the Starlink satellite communication system.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He announced<\/a> this on the social network X (formerly Twitter).<\/p>\n

According to him, the veto imposed by the Polish President will not affect the financing of communications, as the current costs of access to Starlink are covered in accordance with current legislation.<\/p>\n

“The presidential veto does not mean the shutdown of Starlink in Ukraine. Funding continues on the basis of current law, and the presidential bill submitted to the Sejm preserves this order,” the official noted.<\/p>\n

Bogutsky also stressed that Ukraine’s support in the field of cybersecurity will not change – in particular, the storage of important data of the Ukrainian state on protected Polish servers. This item, like Starlink, remains valid within the framework of the presidential initiative, which, according to him, should pass through parliament in September.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, Poland is suspending Starlink funding for Ukraine after President Karol Nawrocki vetoed the law that would have allowed continued support through the Ukraine Assistance Fund.<\/a><\/p>\n

As reported, in 2022, American billionaire Elon Musk gave the order to disable Starlink satellite terminals over part of the occupied territory of Ukraine, including Kherson, which was then controlled by Russia.<\/a><\/p>\n
