On the night of August 27, Russian forces carried out a large-scale attack with kamikaze drones on Sumy. The shelling resulted in damage to infrastructure facilities and disruptions to electricity and water supplies.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According<\/a> to the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Oleg Hryhorov, the enemy attacked the outskirts of the Sumy community using drones. Previously, there were no deaths or injuries.<\/p>\n

“The Russians carried out a massive strike on the outskirts of the Sumy community. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties. Infrastructure facilities were damaged. Emergency services are currently working on the scene,” Grigorov reported.<\/p>\n

No hits to residential areas were recorded, said Acting Mayor of Sumy Artem Kobzar.<\/p>\n

After the night attack in Sumy, part of the city was left without electricity. As a result, the city’s electric transport stopped, and critical infrastructure facilities were forced to switch to backup power sources.<\/p>\n

According to the KP “Electroavtotrans”, only buses and trolleybuses with autonomous power supply remained on the routes.
“There are 18 buses and 7 trolleybuses operating in the city. The schedule is changing, more buses will be added in the near future,” said Serhiy Kryvosheyenko, head of the city’s public transport department.<\/p>\n

All facilities of the Municipal Water Supply Company were de-energized and are currently switched to emergency power. Water will be supplied according to the schedule: from 05:00 to 10:00 and from 18:00 to 22:00. Due to power supply problems, water will be unavailable on the upper floors of high-rise buildings.<\/p>\n

Healthcare facilities are provided with electricity thanks to generators.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, the head of the Confederation of Free Trade Unions of Ukraine and MP Mykhailo Volynets reported that dozens of lives were at risk as a result of another attack by Russian troops on the Donetsk region. After the shelling of the Dobropil community, the mines, where 148 miners were at the time of the attack, were cut off.<\/a><\/p>\n

As reported,Russian occupiers in the Dnipro district of Kherson attacked a civilian with a drone<\/a> , as a result of which he was injured.<\/p>\n
