Dnipro Mayor Borys Filatov called on the current authorities to inform people who may be the target of an assassination attempt and to provide state security to former leaders of the state.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is stated in a post<\/a> by Boris Filatov on Facebook.<\/p>\n

“Just yesterday I wrote about ‘silent jealousy’ and that state leaders (for some reason) do not consider it part of their duties to protect even those they don’t like. And today Andriy Parubiy was killed. Not just an oppositionist and one of the leaders of the Maidan – but the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council and, in fact, one of the leaders of the State at one time,” Filatov’s post says.<\/p>\n

According to him, dry posts that say, “well, we’ll sort it out now, all the instructions have been given to the law enforcement officers” look shameful.<\/p>\n

“This is a challenge to all of us. To the country, to society, to the elites. To everyone who stood on the Maidan and fought for Ukraine since 2014. Even if you don’t like them. By pretending that this is an everyday event, you demotivate everyone: the country, society, the elites,” he added.<\/p>\n

Filatov addressed the leaders of the state with questions: “Where is the prompt notification of people who may be the target of an assassination attempt? Where is the state protection of former leaders of the state? Where are the political\/diplomatic reactions to the demarches of foreign states against Ukrainian patriots? Where? Where? Where? It’s not good, it’s not humane. It’s disgusting.”<\/p>\n

“And brother Andriy, I will remind you of point 1 of the Decalogue: “You will gain the Ukrainian State, or you will die fighting for it.” You have not betrayed yourself, your principles, or Ukraine. Sleep peacefully, Great Knight,” Filatov wrote.<\/p>\n
