They say that the department carried out tasks exclusively within the framework of the law.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> This is stated in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/udoukyiv\/posts\/1222718879894177\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">the statement<\/a> of the State Security Service.<\/p>\n<p> Thus, according to the law &#8220;On state protection of state authorities of Ukraine and officials&#8221;, the safety of the following officials is ensured in places of permanent and temporary residence:<\/p>\n<ul><\/p>\n<li> Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine;<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> Prime Minister;<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> Chairman of the Constitutional Court;<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> Chairman of the Supreme Court;<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada;<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada.<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> First Deputy Prime Minister;<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> Minister of Foreign Affairs;<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> the Attorney General;<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> Minister of Defense;<\/li>\n<p><\/ul>\n<p> The UGO noted that during the term of office of such officials, the safety of their family members is ensured.<\/p>\n<p> However, upon expiration of their term of office, such officials are provided with state protection only for 1 year, except in cases where a \u201cguilty verdict\u201d against them comes into legal force.<\/p>\n<p> \t\t<aside class=\"shortcode-also\" data-title=\"Read also\" >\n\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/en\/parubiy-applied-for-protection-but-was-denied-mp\/\">Parubiy applied for protection, but was denied \u2013 MP<\/a>\n\t<\/aside>\nRecall that on August 30, former Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada and member of parliament from European Solidarity Andriy Parubiy <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/vbyly-kolyshnoho-holovu-rady-andriia-parubiia\/\">was killed<\/a> in Lviv. He was one of <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/symvol-protystoiannia-i-spravzhniy-patriot-kym-buv-andriy-parubiy\/\">the symbols of resistance<\/a> to the Russian invasion in Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p> It later became known that a shooter <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/u-merezhi-z-iavylos-foto-ymovirnoho-vbyvtsi-nardepa-parubiia\/\">was being sought<\/a> in the Lviv region, and a photo of the probable killer was published online. According to eyewitnesses,<a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/u-parubiia-8-raziv-striliav-zamaskovanyy-pid-kur-iera-cholovik-zhurnalist\/\">the shooter was a Glovo service courier<\/a> , who then hid the gun in his bag. <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/vbyvstvo-andriia-parubiia-u-lvovi-z-iavylos-video\/\">A video<\/a> of the moment of the people&#8217;s deputy&#8217;s murder also appeared on social networks.<\/p>\n<p> In this regard, a special operation &#8220;Siren&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/vbyvstvo-parubiia-u-lvovi-oholosyly-spetsoperatsiiu-syrena\/\">was announced<\/a> in Lviv. The media reported that the police had allegedly already <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/zmi-pravookhorontsi-vyyshly-na-slid-vbyvtsi-parubiia\/\">found the trail of the criminal<\/a> .<\/p>\n<p> The Verkhovna Rada leadership, people&#8217;s deputies, the apparatus and its employees <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/prysviatyv-sebe-sluzhinniu-ukraini-iak-deputaty-reahuiut-na-smert-parubiia\/\">expressed condolences<\/a> in connection with the murder of Andriy Parubiy, a people&#8217;s deputy of several convocations and the chairman of the parliament of the VIII convocation. European officials also <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/vin-buv-bortsem-za-ukrainsku-demokratiiu-ievropeyski-chynovnyky-zreahuvaly-na-vbyvstvo-parubiia\/\">commented on<\/a> this crime, calling it terrible.<\/p>\n<p> Subsequently, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the murder of MP and former speaker of parliament Andriy Parubiy <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/zlochyn-buv-retelno-pidhotovanyy-zelenskyy-rozkryv-detali-rozsliduvannia-vbyvstva-parubiia\/\">was carefully prepared<\/a> . According to him, the SBU was also involved in the investigation. The head of state also instructed to immediately provide verified information to the public.<\/p>\n<p> Meanwhile, the European Solidarity faction made an official statement about the death of Andriy Parubiy.
