The Security Service of Ukraine and the National Police have detained a suspect in the assassination of Andriy Parubiy, a member of parliament from \u201cEuropean Solidarity.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Officers of the Security Service of Ukraine, the National Police, and the Office of the Prosecutor General have detained a man suspected of murdering MP Andriy Parubiy.<\/p>\n

According to the SBU, the suspect was apprehended in the Khmelnytskyi region. The investigation indicates that the assassination was carefully premeditated: the perpetrator studied the deputy\u2019s schedule, mapped out his movements, and prepared an escape plan.<\/p>\n

Thanks to the coordinated work of the SBU and the National Police, the suspect was tracked down within 24 hours of the attack and detained within 36 hours.<\/p>\n

The investigation and the arrest were carried out under the personal supervision of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who officially announced the detention.<\/p>\n

Let us recall that on August 30, Andriy Parubiy was killed in Lviv<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This was done by a man disguised as a courier.<\/a> Andriy Parubiy was shot 8 times.<\/p>\n

On Monday, September 1, in Lviv, at 19:00 in the Archcathedral of St. George, a farewell ceremony for Andriy Parubiy will take place.<\/p>\n
