The morning in Kyiv and the Kyiv region began with an air raid and an attack by enemy “shaheeds”. Russian troops attacked the capital of Ukraine and nearby areas with strike drones. Air defense is actively working in the region.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, and the Mayor of Kyiv.<\/p>\n

What is known as of now:<\/p>\n

08:59 \u2014 The Air Force warned of the threat of a drone attack in the Vyshgorod district of the Kyiv region.<\/p>\n

09:07 \u2014 the alarm has already been declared in Kyiv.<\/p>\n

09:21 \u2014 drones were moving in the directions of Vyshgorod, Dymer, Hostomel, and Bucha.<\/p>\n

09:31 \u2014 Kyiv Air Defense Forces confirmed: a UAV was detected in the airspace, and air defense opened fire.<\/p>\n

09:36 \u2014 Andriy Yermak reported on the work of air defense in the capital:<\/p>\n

“Russia is not pursuing any military goals, it is attacking Kyiv during working hours, when there are many people on the streets. Take care of yourself.”<\/p>\n

09:40 \u2014 the drones changed direction, moving towards Kyiv, Vasylkiv, and Borova.<\/p>\n

09:59 \u2014 Mayor of the capital Vitaliy Klitschko reported that enemy drones are already over the city center.<\/p>\n

Active air defense work continues on the left bank of Kyiv. Local authorities are urging citizens to stay in shelters until the official end of the alert.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, on the night of September 2 , Bila Tserkva was subjected to another air strike \u2014 Russian troops attacked the city with kamikaze drones.<\/a> The shelling resulted in fires, damage to civilian infrastructure, and casualties among the population.<\/p>\n

As reported, on the night of September 1-2 , the Russian Federation carried out a large-scale air attack, launching 150 strike drones into Ukraine from five different directions.<\/a> Most of them were neutralized by air defense forces, but the attack could not be completely repelled – 30 direct hits were recorded.<\/p>\n
