From August 25 to 31, 10,622 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in Ukraine, which is 46.2% more than the week before.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by the Public Health Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

A week later, 14 deaths were recorded among patients with confirmed SARS-CoV-2.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

At the same time, the incidence rate remains lower than in the past. In particular, 22,627 cases were identified in the period from August 4 to August 31, 2025, while for the same period in 2024 – 45,500.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The Ministry of Health predicts that the number of confirmed cases may increase in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

According to the sequencing results, three cases of infection with the Nimbus subvariant and 125 cases of Stratus have been identified in Ukraine. Both variants do not cause a more severe course of the disease.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The department reminds that vaccination remains the most effective protection against COVID-19 and is free in Ukraine.<\/p>\n

Earlier, Kyiv recorded a rapid increase in hospitals due to COVID-19<\/a> . Over the course of a month, the number of patients in hospitals increased more than fourfold, a quarter of whom were children.<\/p>\n
