Russian dictator Vladimir Putin said that Eastern European countries could stop gas and electricity supplies to Ukraine in response to Ukrainian air strikes on Russia’s oil refining infrastructure.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He said this during a meeting with Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico in Beijing.<\/p>\n

“Ukraine is trying to harm us, but at the same time it is harming its partners. What to do? After all, Kyiv receives a lot of energy resources from its neighbors in Eastern Europe. Stop the gas reverse flow, stop the electricity supplies,” Putin said.<\/p>\n

Fico, in turn, promised a “tough response” to the Ukrainian drone attacks on the Druzhba oil pipeline. According to him, he plans to meet with the Ukrainian president in Uzhgorod on Friday and raise this issue.<\/p>\n

In addition, the Prime Minister of Slovakia assured Putin that he would block the European Commission’s decision to refuse imports of Russian energy resources from 2027. “We will vote against this decision in the EU. And I am convinced that by 2028 a lot could change,” he said.<\/p>\n

Let us recall that in August, Slovakia and Hungary were left without Russian oil supplies for several days due to Ukrainian drone strikes on the infrastructure of the Druzhba pipeline on Russian territory.<\/p>\n

Recall that Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto once again spoke about the attack on the Druzhba oil pipeline, which led to the suspension of Russian oil supplies to his country.<\/a><\/p>\n
