President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is set to meet top European leaders in Paris to discuss security guarantees for Ukraine and the shaping of a new post-war European architecture, with Kyiv playing a central role in guiding the continent\u2019s future security.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n

This was announced<\/a> by Advisor to the Head of the President’s Office, Mykhailo Podoliak.<\/p>\n

In Paris, President Zelenskyy is scheduled to hold consultations with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, CDU leader Friedrich Merz, and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer. According to Podoliak, the talks are not just about “reconciling positions,” but also about developing a coordinated strategy to protect the EU’s eastern border.<\/p>\n

The Presidential Office advisor emphasized that two key processes are currently unfolding in parallel. The first involves situational efforts to halt the war, in which the United States, and personally President Donald Trump, play a leading role. The second is strategic, focused on shaping a new post-war European architecture, with Ukraine serving as the central platform for coordinating decisions.<\/p>\n

Podoliak stressed that European countries are acutely aware of their vulnerabilities\u2014from weapons shortages to the inability to independently impose effective sanctions on India and China. For this reason, the EU is increasingly engaging in military deterrence against Russia, relying on the Ukrainian Armed Forces, advancing missile and drone technologies, and potentially involving European military contingents.<\/p>\n

“Ukraine is an active moderator in these processes. This is constant, daily communication with partners aimed at ensuring both global and continental security,” Podoliak concluded.<\/p>\n

It was previously reported that on Thursday, September 4, leaders of leading European countries will gather in Paris<\/a> to agree on a position on security guarantees for Ukraine. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy may also participate in the meeting. Kyiv expects specific decisions from partners, including the possibility of involving peacekeeping troops to deter Russian aggression.<\/p>\n
