The fifth president and leader of “European Solidarity” Petro Poroshenko , during his speech from the rostrum<\/a> of parliament, thanked all the people’s deputies who came to Lviv to bid farewell to Andriy Parubiy.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The fifth President called for continuing to implement the main goal of Andriy Parubiy, who defended the independence of Ukraine and unity for the sake of the state.<\/p>\n

Poroshenko also called for a ban in Ukraine on the Telegram messenger, through which Russian special services are waging a hybrid war against Ukraine and recruiting terrorists.<\/p>\n

“Yesterday, the Verkhovna Rada, Lviv and all of Ukraine said goodbye to an outstanding Ukrainian, a true hero, Andriy Parubiy. I want to thank everyone who yesterday, side by side, paid tribute to Mr. Andriy. He was a man who knew how to unite this parliament. And even by his death, he united us all. He was a man who fought for Ukraine, and I can say without exaggeration that he was the best Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada. We all recognize this,” Poroshenko said.<\/p>\n

“This was a man under whom the parliament was a parliament, and laws were born here, in the parliament, by our work, and not in dark offices outside of Grushevsky, 5. Andriy was killed not only as a politician, Andriy was killed as a hero of the Revolution of Dignity. And this shot, the shot of the Kremlin, the shot of the Russians, the “fifth column” and the anti-Maidan was a shot at the Revolution of Dignity, at our ideals, at the Army, at the Language, at the Faith,” Poroshenko emphasized.<\/p>\n

“Today we need not just to talk, but also to act. Law enforcement agencies have proven that the murder was organized via the Telegram network, and now a network of terrorist actions against Ukraine is being created via Telegram. It is our matter of honor to ban Telegram in Ukraine already and now,” Poroshenko is convinced.<\/p>\n

“It’s not just about perpetuating Andriy’s memory, about a plaque on the walls, that’s obvious. It’s not about recognizing that Andriy was a hero and remains a hero in the hearts of every Ukrainian. It’s about us doing everything together for the army, for Ukrainian statehood, for the language and faith. And the main thing is to maintain unity, because with unity we will defeat the enemy,” said Petro Poroshenko.<\/p>\n
