In the Kyiv region, a man was detained on suspicion of raping an 11-year-old boy.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by the police<\/a> and the prosecutor’s office<\/a> in the Kiev region.<\/p>\n

Law enforcement officers reported that a 39-year-old resident of Irpen is suspected of raping a minor.<\/p>\n

According to the investigation, in August the man and the child’s father were drinking alcohol in a non-residential building. When the father fell asleep, the suspect took advantage of the adults’ absence and committed sexual acts against the 11-year-old boy.<\/p>\n

The child’s mother contacted the police. The offender was detained and is in custody.<\/p>\n

The prosecutor’s office clarified that the suspect has serious illnesses – tuberculosis, HIV infection<\/p>\n

and hepatitis.<\/p>\n

He is charged under Part 4 of Article 152 of the Criminal Code (rape of a minor). The penalty under the article provides for 10 to 15 years in prison.<\/p>\n
