Russian forces launched a missile strike on the Chernihiv region, targeting workers of the Danish Refugee Council’s humanitarian demining mission, killing two and injuring three.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by<\/a> the head of the Chernihiv MBA, Dmytro Bryzhynskyi.<\/p>\n

According to Vyacheslav Chaus, head of the regional military administration, the tragedy occurred in the Kyseliv community, where sappers were clearing the area of explosive devices.<\/p>\n

“First, the Russians littered the area with explosives and mines. Now they are killing civilians who, risking their lives, are removing the remnants of the Russian invasion,” Chaus emphasized.<\/p>\n

Dmytro Bryzhynskyi, head of the Chernihiv MVA, added that around 3:00 PM, the Air Force issued a warning about a potential ballistic missile threat.<\/p>\n

It was later confirmed that the rocket struck a checkpoint at the entrance to the settlement of Novoselivka, where a humanitarian mission team was working to clear explosives.<\/p>\n

Initially, one person was reported dead and two injured. However, the Chernihiv MVA later confirmed that the death toll had risen to two, with three more people injured.<\/p>\n

It is known that on the night of September 4, Russia carried out a massive attack on Ukraine<\/a>, using 112 Shahed-type strike drones and simulator drones.<\/p>\n

By the way, as a result of the attack by Russian troops on critical infrastructure facilities, part of the city of Sumy<\/a> and settlements in the Sumy district were left without electricity.<\/p>\n
