On Friday, September 5, US President Donald Trump intends to sign an executive order formalizing the use of the name “Department of War” as an alternative to the current Department of Defense.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A White House representative reported this in a comment to Fox News.<\/p>\n

According to the administration’s published bulletin, the document allows the use of the term “Secretary of War” for the current head of the Defense Department, Pete Hegseth.<\/p>\n

The decree also instructs him to develop the necessary legislative and administrative initiatives to officially change the name of the institution to the “United States Department of War.”<\/p>\n
