Russian dictator Vladimir Putin said that foreign military units that may appear on Ukrainian territory would be “legitimate targets” for the Russian army.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He voiced this threat while speaking at the Eastern Economic Forum.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

“If any troops appear there, especially now, during military operations, we proceed from the fact that these will be legitimate targets for their destruction,” Putin said.<\/p>\n

At the same time, he noted that if \u201clong-term peace\u201d is achieved, the foreign military contingent, in his words, \u201cwill lose its meaning.\u201d<\/p>\n

Let us recall that the idea of sending European peacekeepers to Ukraine after a possible peace agreement with Russia is facing strong resistance among the public in EU countries.<\/a><\/p>\n
