On Sunday, September 7, at around 5:00 p.m., a fatal traffic accident involving two cars occurred in Kyiv.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This<\/span> was reported<\/span><\/a> to the Kyiv Police.<\/span><\/p>\n

As law enforcement officials said, two cars \u2014 an Audi and a Nissan \u2014 collided in the Darnytskyi district on the Kharkiv highway.<\/span><\/p>\n

The 24-year-old driver of an Audi, who was speeding, crossed into the oncoming lane, where he collided with another vehicle.<\/span><\/p>\n

As a result of the impact, the driver and passenger of the Audi died on the spot. The driver and passenger of the Nissan were injured and hospitalized.<\/span><\/p>\n

A pedestrian who was nearby at the time of the accident was also injured and taken to a hospital.<\/span><\/p>\n

“The investigative and operational group of the capital’s main police department continues to work at the scene to investigate the accident. Criminal proceedings have been initiated under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – violation of road safety rules,” the report says.<\/span><\/p>\n

Earlier, on August 29 , a traffic accident involving a police car occurred in the center of Kyiv<\/a> . One person died.<\/p>\n
