The Iskander missile that Russian forces used in the attack on the Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers building consisted of more than 30 foreign-made parts, including components from the United States, Great Britain, and Japan.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was announced by<\/a> the presidential commissioner for sanctions policy, Vladyslav Vlasyuk, on his Facebook page.<\/p>\n

Vlasyuk clarified that the missile’s warhead did not explode due to damage to the missile, and the fire in the building occurred due to fuel ignition.<\/p>\n

According to the official, a detailed analysis of a similar missile showed the presence of:<\/p>\n

35 American-made components,<\/p>\n

1 \u2014 Japanese,<\/p>\n

1 – British,<\/p>\n

1 \u2014 Swiss,<\/p>\n

5 \u2014 Belarusian,<\/p>\n

57 \u2014 Russian.<\/p>\n

Among the foreign manufacturers of parts, well-known companies were identified, such as Texas Instruments, Analog Devices and Altera from the USA, College Electronics Ltd from the UK, Fujitsu from Japan, Traco Power from Switzerland, as well as Belarusian enterprises – JSC “Integral” and several others.<\/p>\n

Vlasyuk noted that compared to missiles of previous years, the number of European and American components in the new Iskanders has decreased, while the share of Russian and Belarusian parts has increased. All the information collected has been transferred to international partners to increase sanctions pressure.<\/p>\n

As is known, on the night of September 7, instead of a Shahed suicide drone, an Iskander cruise missile was used to strike the Cabinet of Ministers building. Damage to the missile’s warhead prevented it from exploding, but the ignition of the fuel caused a fire in the upper floors.<\/p>\n

The EU Ambassador to Ukraine, Katarina Maternova, confirmed that the Iskander was used in the attack. She added that the missile was aimed directly at the Cabinet of Ministers building \u2014 \u201cthe heart of the Ukrainian government.\u201d According to her, EU representatives saw significant fragments of the missile and remnants of the cluster munition embedded in the Iskander.<\/p>\n

Recall that on the night of September 7, Russia carried out another massive combined attack against Ukraine<\/a> , using a record number of strike drones – 810. In addition, ballistic and cruise missiles were used.<\/p>\n

As reported, as a result of the Russian Federation’s massive strike on Ukrainian regions, the Cabinet of Ministers building was damaged, in particular,<\/a> where a fire broke out.<\/p>\n
