German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said that Ukraine will receive two more modern Patriot air defense systems from Germany. The first launchers have already been transferred to the Ukrainian side, and the full transfer of the two systems is in the final stages.<\/strong><\/p>\n

“The first launchers have already been transferred to Ukraine,” Pistorius emphasized.<\/p>\n

The head of the German Ministry of Defense emphasized that the decision was made in close coordination with allies, which allows for a quick replacement of Patriot systems.<\/p>\n

He separately thanked Norway, which took on half of the financial burden for these two complexes. Thus, international support for Ukraine has once again demonstrated the effectiveness of joint actions of partners in countering Russian aggression.<\/p>\n

In addition, another major contribution from allies was announced during the meeting. UK Defence Secretary John Healy announced that London will fund the production of thousands of long-range strike drones for Ukraine. The production and delivery will be fully provided by the United Kingdom over the next 12 months.<\/p>\n

By the way, the 30th meeting of the Contact Group on Defense Issues for Ukraine in the \u201cRamstein\u201d format has begun in London<\/a> , where further military support for Ukraine is being discussed. The defense ministers of Ukraine, Great Britain, and Germany agreed on the agenda, and also announced large-scale programs for the supply of kamikaze drones and long-range unmanned aerial vehicles for the Ukrainian army.<\/p>\n
