However, he was released after questioning.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> This <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/FBIDirectorKash\/status\/1965903392934633587\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">was reported by<\/a> FBI Director Kesh Patel.<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;The suspect in today&#8217;s tragic incident involving the death of Charlie Kirk has now been arrested. We are grateful to Utah law enforcement for their cooperation with the Federal Bureau of Investigation,&#8221; Patel said.<\/p>\n<p> He also promised that the FBI would provide updates on the case as new information becomes available.<\/p>\n<p> As of 03:29 local time, the investigation only has CCTV footage. According to Patel, the attacker was likely operating from a rooftop and was wearing dark clothing.<\/p>\n<p> Updated information at 04:00 indicates that the detainee was released after initial questioning &#8211; the investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n<p> Charles (Charlie) James Kirk is an American conservative commentator, founder and host of The Charlie Kirk Show.
