As a result of attacks by Ukrainian drones on Russian oil refineries, a large-scale fuel crisis has gripped the Russian Federation.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is reported by Russian media.<\/span><\/p>\n

Previously, gasoline shortages were recorded in the Far East and in the temporarily occupied Crimea, however, in September a number of other regions were added – Ryazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Saratov, Samara, Ulyanovsk, Penza, Rostov and Astrakhan regions, as well as Kalmykia and Tatarstan.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, there are fuel supply disruptions in the Amur, Magadan, and Sakhalin regions, the Khabarovsk Territory, Yakutia, the Jewish Autonomous Region, and Chukotka.<\/span><\/p>\n

In total, the fuel crisis has affected 20 Russian regions. According to gas station owners, some refineries have not supplied AI-92 and AI-95 gasoline for several weeks in a row.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cInitially, the problem of fuel shortage was local in nature, but now we can say that the geography is expanding: more and more regions of Russia are facing a shortage,\u201d said Dmitry Tortev, a member of the expert council of the State Duma\u2019s competition protection committee.<\/span><\/p>\n

As a result of the attacks that continued throughout August, Russia lost 17% of its oil refining capacity, and a number of plants completely stopped production. Also in September, the Ryazan refinery, which provides about 5% of all oil refining in the country, partially stopped.<\/span><\/p>\n

This has led to a rise in gasoline prices: they have increased by 40-50% since the beginning of the year. However, demand still exceeds supply.<\/span><\/p>\n

Previously , the sale of AI-92 gasoline to the population was stopped in the Kuril district, located in the Sakhalin region of the Russian Federation.<\/a><\/p>\n

As a reminder, fuel shortages are increasing on the temporarily occupied peninsula. In Simferopol and other cities of Crimea, A95 gasoline has disappeared from gas stations<\/a> , causing some gas stations to close.<\/p>\n

By the way, an acute shortage of AI-95 gasoline has been recorded in Crimea, which is why sales are carried out mainly using coupons<\/a> from companies.<\/p>\n
