Poland announced the start of the military operation “Eastern Sentinel” amid the interference of Russian drones in the country’s airspace.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This<\/span> was reported<\/span><\/a> by RMF24 with reference to the Polish General Staff.<\/span><\/p>\n

In particular, the agency released a video of a French A400 transport plane landing in Minsk Mazowiecki. It delivered weapons for Rafale fighters already stationed in Poland.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, the operation will involve Czech Mi-171S helicopters, Danish F-16s and an air defense frigate, French Rafales, and German Eurofighters. Also, “Eastern Sentinel” provides for the support of the United Kingdom and other NATO member states.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a concrete response that shows that the unity of the Alliance is turning into real protection of our borders. \u201cEastern Sentinel\u201d is not just a new initiative \u2013 it is a clear signal: NATO borders are inviolable, and the security of our citizens remains a priority,\u201d the Operational Command of the Polish Army said.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the same time, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense Vladyslav Kosyniak-Kamysh emphasized that Ukraine’s defense is connected to the future of Europe, which is why Poland is building its own capabilities.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThere is strength in unity, and victory in preparedness,\u201d the official added.<\/span><\/p>\n

The day before, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte announced the alliance’s launch of Operation Eastern Sentinel<\/a> amid the violation of Polish airspace by Russian drones.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, on the night of September 9-10, the situation in Eastern Europe escalated again – Russia launched a massive strike on the territory of Ukraine, while a number of enemy drones crossed the air border of Poland<\/a> . This forced Warsaw to activate air defense forces and engage aviation.<\/p>\n

It should be noted that 19 Russian drones violated Polish airspace<\/a> . Polish air defense forces were able to eliminate only four of them. It should be added that later , in addition to the seven drones, a missile fragment was also found on Polish territory.<\/a><\/p>\n

By the way, on the morning of September 10 , Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk initiated an urgent government meeting<\/a> due to an incident involving the violation of the country’s airspace by Russian drones.<\/p>\n
