Russian forces have launched a second strike on a critical infrastructure facility in the Nizhyn district of Chernihiv region, where rescuers had arrived to put out a fire. Four firefighters from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine were injured in the attack.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by the press service<\/a> of the State Emergency Service and confirmed by<\/a> the head of the Chernihiv Emergency Management Office, Vyacheslav Chaus.<\/p>\n

It is noted that the fire broke out after a hostile drone attack on one of the critical infrastructure facilities. During the extinguishing, the occupiers deliberately launched a second strike, as a result of which four rescuers were injured. All of them were hospitalized.<\/p>\n

In addition, according to Chaus, a 59-year-old resident of one of the villages in the Nizhyn district was injured. He was also taken to the Chernihiv regional hospital. A residential building was damaged.<\/p>\n

In total, the Russian army shelled the Chernihiv region 42 times during the day. 81 explosions were recorded, and 20 settlements were hit.<\/p>\n

In the Novgorod-Siverskyi district, farm buildings caught fire as a result of shelling. In several districts of the region, dry grass burned on an area of about 10 hectares. All fires were extinguished.<\/p>\n

As is known, on the night of Monday, September 15, Russian troops carried out a large-scale air strike on Ukraine<\/a> , using 84 strike drones of various types and three S-300 missiles. Thanks to the coordinated actions of the sky defenders, 59 drones were shot down and suppressed, but some still struck targets in several regions.<\/p>\n
