Other details are currently unknown.<\/span><\/p>\n<p> <strong>Reference:<\/strong> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mykola Statkevich was a candidate for the presidency of Belarus in 2010. That same year, he took part in a protest, after which he was sentenced to 6 years in prison in a maximum-security colony, and was released in 2015.<\/span><\/p>\n<p> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He was arrested a second time in May 2020, before the start of mass protests, and sentenced to 14 years in a special regime colony.
