On the night of Tuesday, September 16, Russian forces carried out one of the largest air attacks in recent weeks, launching 113 strike drones of several types over the territory of Ukraine.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported<\/a> by the command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

According to preliminary data, about 70 of the 113 drones were Iranian Shahed. Also among the drones used were Gerber and other types of UAVs.<\/p>\n

The sky defenders operated throughout the country: enemy drones were recorded in the north, east, south, and center of Ukraine. The following were involved in repelling the air strike:<\/p>\n

combat aircraft,<\/p>\n

anti-aircraft missile troops units,<\/p>\n

mobile fire teams,<\/p>\n

electronic warfare means,<\/p>\n

the power of unmanned systems.<\/p>\n

As of 9:00 a.m., 89 out of 113 enemy drones had been shot down or suppressed.<\/p>\n

There were also 22 reported hits by kamikaze drones at six different locations. In two more cases, debris from downed UAVs was recorded falling.<\/p>\n

Separately, it is noted that around midnight the Russian Federation also struck the city of Zaporizhia using multiple launch rocket systems<\/a> . Preliminary reports indicate 10 Tornado-S MLRS shells.<\/p>\n

In addition, on the morning of Tuesday, September 16, a hit was recorded near Kyiv at the Epicenter logistics center as a result of an attack by Russian drones.<\/a><\/p>\n

As a reminder, as of the morning of September 16, Russia has lost about 1,096,430 military personnel since the start of its full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Over the course of the day, the enemy’s losses in manpower reached 910 people.<\/a><\/p>\n

As reported, over the past 24 hours, 208 combat clashes took place on the Russian-Ukrainian front.<\/a> The hottest situation remains in the Pokrov direction.<\/p>\n
