A 3D model and a list of components &#8211; from the engine to the navigation system &#8211; appeared on the War&#038;Sanctions portal. The device is assembled mainly from foreign components, including parts from the USA, China and Europe. The intelligence also explains how exactly the &#8220;Geran-3&#8221; operates in the air defense zone and why it is difficult to disable it.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> This is stated in a message from the Ministry of Defense&#8217;s Directorate of Defense on <a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/DIUkraine\/6915\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Telegram<\/a> .<\/p>\n<p> The key component for the &#8220;Geran-3&#8221; was the Chinese Telefly JT80 turbojet engine. It is thanks to it that the drone develops a speed of 300 to 370 km\/h and has an approximate operational range of up to 1,000 km. The highest speed is achieved by the device in the areas of application of Ukrainian air defense and electronic warfare means, as well as in the final (terminal) stages of the attack &#8211; when targeting and descending to the target. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1293156\" src=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/hur-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/hur-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/prm.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/hur-1024x1024.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/prm.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/hur-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/prm.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/hur-768x768.jpg 768w, https:\/\/prm.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/hur-650x650.jpg 650w, https:\/\/prm.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/hur.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p> In terms of electronics, the &#8220;Geran-3&#8221; largely repeats the modular scheme of the gasoline &#8220;Geran-2&#8221; (&#8220;Y&#8221; series). The kit includes the SADRA inertial navigation system, pressure measurement unit (ADC), power distribution unit (PDU) and other standard modules. To protect GNSS guidance from jamming, a 12-element &#8220;Comet-M12&#8221; jam-proof satellite navigation system with an adaptive antenna array (CRPA) is used.<\/p>\n<p> Of the 45 identified foreign components, about half come from American manufacturers. The rest come from China (8), Switzerland (7), Germany (3), the United Kingdom (2), and Japan (1). In addition, the jet versions of the Geran-3 are equipped with a camera and video transmission system from the gasoline-powered Geran-2 series.<\/p>\n<p> The GUR emphasizes that &#8220;Geran-3&#8221; is the eighth model of Russian weapons, the analysis of the structure of which is published within the framework of the &#8220;Means of Destruction&#8221; project. The &#8220;Components in Weapons&#8221; section of the War&#038;Sanctions portal today contains over 5,000 identified foreign components found in 177 models of weapons of the Russian Federation and its partners.<\/p>\n<p> As Defense Express experts previously reported, the analysis of the remains of downed Geran-2 (&#8220;Shahed&#8221;) attack UAVs indicates the serial use of new technological solutions by Russia.
