Dmytro Chorny, a deputy from the Servant of the People party, said that the current term of the Verkhovna Rada is entering its final stage. He believes that the country will receive a new parliament next year.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The politician predicts that the current session may be the last for this convocation.<\/p>\n

“The countdown has started in weeks. Of course, I could be wrong, but I have a feeling that this term of the Verkhovna Rada is coming to an end and we are working on our, if not the last, then definitely the penultimate session. Next year, the country will probably have a new parliament. And this is closely intertwined with the issue of ending the war,” Chornyi said.<\/p>\n

At the same time, he appealed to President Zelenskyy to provide clear guidelines for the work of the parliament.<\/p>\n

“That is why today we expect clear instructions and guidelines from President Zelensky. Because the time left for this Council must be used qualitatively and productively. Not for political squabbles, but exclusively for the benefit of the state. I believe that this is our last chance to use time wisely. The last chance to act for the security and future of the country. And we have no right to waste it on internal political confrontations,” the deputy added.<\/p>\n

It should be noted that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy previously stated that elections in Ukraine can only be held<\/a> if peace is achieved.<\/p>\n

At the same time, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine began work on a draft law on holding elections<\/a> after the end of the war.<\/p>\n

By the way, Ruslan Stefanchuk stated that holding elections during martial law is impossible<\/a> , and those that will be held after it ends do not fall under any of the qualifications provided for in the Constitution.<\/p>\n
