The leadership of the monomajority is blocking the announcement of requests in the session hall, in particular, a request to President Zelenskyy to award the title of Hero of Ukraine to the deputy from “Eurosolidarity”, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of the eighth convocation, Andriy Parubiy.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was stated by People’s Deputy Volodymyr Ar’yev during a speech in parliament, reports “European Solidarity”<\/a> .<\/p>\n

“Today, in a rather harsh manner, one of the leaders of the monomajority faction refused to put a vote on requests to the President of Ukraine on the agenda at the conciliation council, because there was a request to grant our colleague Andriy Parubiy, who was killed on the orders of the Russian occupiers, the title of Hero of Ukraine,” Ar’yev noted.<\/p>\n

He noted that it was precisely because of Andriy Parubiy from “European Solidarity” that they did not want to put it to a vote today. Despite the fact that the draft appeal to the president was signed by deputies of almost all factions, including the monomajority.<\/p>\n

“I do not understand such an approach, and I believe that it is absolutely normal for us to honor the memory of our colleague, regardless of his factional affiliation, in order not to create conflict situations, but to unite the parliament,” the MP emphasized.<\/p>\n
