On September 16\u201317, the Lviv National Philharmonic will host a professional studio recording of the symphonic project “Ode to Resilience – a Symphony of Freedom in Times of Trials.” The project was initiated by servicemen of the 5th Separate Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as part of the “Cultural Assault” program.<\/strong> <\/p>\n

The project has already received wide resonance in Ukraine: the first season included concerts in Kyiv, Zaporizhia, Odessa, Cherkasy, and Lviv. Now it is entering a new stage \u2014 the creation of a documentary film and multimedia package, which will be presented at international festivals and cultural events in Europe \u2014 in particular, in Riposto (Italy) and D\u00fcsseldorf (Germany).<\/p>\n

The recording focuses on works written during the war. Among them are the legendary “Concerto for a Surviving Piano” by Vlad Solodovnikov, about a piano that survived the shelling, works by Italian composer Gabriele Denaro (“Concerto No. 1 “Ukrainian”), as well as symphonic versions of works by Viktor Kosenko and Borys Lyatoshynsky. <\/p>\n

The recording will form the basis of a 10-minute film that will include interviews with Italian, German and Ukrainian composers. The film will be adapted for international festivals and cultural diplomacy – dubbed and subtitled in four languages.<\/p>\n

“Ode to Resilience” is not just music, but a form of cultural resistance. It was initiated by the military, who turned the symphony orchestra into a tool for understanding military identity. The project documents contemporary Ukrainian music born during the war and creates a new cultural language – the language of resilience.<\/p>\n

The recording in Lviv and the creation of the documentary are taking place with the support of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation (UCF).<\/p>\n
