In the center of Washington, directly opposite the Capitol, an unusual installation has appeared – a 3.5-meter gold statue of Donald Trump holding a bitcoin in his hand.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The authors of the idea are a group of cryptocurrency investors who financed the project after the US Federal Reserve decided to lower the key rate for the first time in a long time, to 4.1%. The last time this happened was in December 2024.<\/p>\n

“We want this statue to be an occasion for discussion about the future of money, cryptocurrency, the role of government and monetary policy,” explained one of the initiators, investor Hicham Zagdoudi.<\/p>\n

Investors say Trump is a symbol of politics intertwined with financial innovation. At the same time, the exhibit has no official connection to the president’s election campaign.<\/p>\n
