Russian Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov reports to Vladimir Putin about the “large-scale successes” of the Russian army at the front, but the Ukrainian side refutes these statements, recording limited advances and successful counterattacks.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Russian Defense Ministry claims that Gerasimov visited the front line and reported on the advance of Russian troops “in all directions.” This refers in particular to the area near Krasnoarmiysk (Pokrovskaya). The fighting in the Zaporizhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kupyansk, and Yampil zones is also mentioned. Russia traditionally claims “significant losses” of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the destruction of infrastructure.<\/p>\n

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in an interview with Sky News that despite Russia’s statements, the latest Russian offensives have not had the expected effect. According to him, Ukrainian forces managed to repel the assault in the Pokrovsk area, and in the Kupyansk direction – inflicted losses on the enemy and took prisoners.<\/p>\n

This information is also confirmed by analysts from the Ukrainian military project DeepState, noting local defense successes and stabilization of the front line at critical points.<\/p>\n

Despite the differences in reporting, one thing is clear: both sides are actively preparing for the next stage of hostilities. The situation on the front remains extremely tense, with constant attempts to attack and regroup forces.<\/p>\n

Recall that this year’s Russian military exercises “West-2025”, which the Kremlin always uses as a demonstration of strength and political pathos, were notable not only for the number of personnel, but also for an unexpected “personnel hole”. At the final phase of the maneuvers in the Nizhny Novgorod region, where Putin personally appeared, the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Federation, Valery Gerasimov, was absent.<\/a><\/p>\n

As reported, the dismissal of Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation Dmitry Kozak from his Kremlin position is another signal that the Russian leadership, including Vladimir Putin, is not interested in ending the war against Ukraine<\/a> .<\/p>\n
