Russian President Vladimir Putin said that “more than 700,000 people are on the front line” – this is the number of Russian military personnel involved in the war in Ukraine, according to him.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is reported by Russian media.<\/p>\n

During his speech, Putin noted the scale of the Russian group in the combat zone and demonstrated the Kremlin’s public position on supporting those who participated in military operations.<\/p>\n

“There are more than 700,000 people on the front line,” the president said, adding that the state must “search, find, and nominate people who are not afraid of anything in serving their homeland and are willing to risk their health and lives.”<\/p>\n

In addition, Putin supported the idea of integrating militants and military personnel into power structures: he called for giving such people leadership positions, motivating this by their courage and dedication. Such rhetoric fits into the propaganda line that seeks to legitimize military experience as a criterion for leadership and loyalty to the Kremlin.<\/p>\n

It is worth adding that official Russian agencies have long withheld details about losses and personnel numbers, so public estimates often contradict each other. The Russian Defense Ministry has not published complete data on the deaths of its people throughout the war for a long time.<\/p>\n

The day before, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had thwarted a Russian offensive operation in the Pokrovska and Dobropillya areas<\/a> .
