People’s Deputy from the “Servant of the People” Mariana Bezugla, through her actions, blocked the holding of a closed meeting of the parliamentary committee on national security, defense and intelligence.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by<\/a> Iryna Friz, a member of the same committee.<\/p>\n

According to Friese, the meeting, which was supposed to discuss the financial support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the participation of Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal and his deputies, did not take place due to the actions of Maryana Bezugla, who refused to leave the room and violated the rules.<\/p>\n

As Friese noted, the Minister of Defense and the leadership of the department came to the meeting to present a detailed analysis of defense sector expenditures and needs. According to her, there was supposed to be a professional discussion, but 45 minutes of the working time of the Ministry of Defense representatives were wasted due to the conflict.<\/p>\n

“Bezugla disrupted the closed meeting of the Committee, refusing to leave the room and violating the regulations of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine,” Friz emphasized.<\/p>\n

She also recalled that Bezuglu had previously been expelled from the National Security Committee due to leaks of information from previous closed discussions. At that time, the military leadership effectively refused to participate in the committee’s work.<\/p>\n

Due to the disruption of the meeting, the deputies were forced to switch to an open format and listen only to the public part of the defense minister’s presentation. This, according to Friese, significantly limited the opportunities for a frank conversation about the real state of affairs with the financing of the army.<\/p>\n

“There should have been a discussion on issues key to our defense capability, but we have lost valuable time. This is unacceptable in a time of war,” she added.<\/p>\n

Earlier, the Rules Committee approved Bezuglaya’s removal<\/a> from the Verkhovna Rada sessions. However, the Verkhovna Rada did not support the resolution to remove<\/a> People’s Deputy Maryana Bezuglaya from participating in plenary sessions.<\/p>\n

Earlier, the chairman of the board of the “People’s Rear” charitable foundation, Heorhiy Tuka, stated that the People’s Deputy from the “Servant of the People” party, MarianaBezugla, with her unfounded statements and criticism of the military, once again demonstrates the principle “who was nobody, will become everyone.”<\/a> The SBU must finally respond to the statements of the People’s Deputy in order to bring this person to criminal responsibility.<\/p>\n
