Kyiv leads among Ukrainian cities in terms of the number of traffic lights. There are several times more of them in the capital than in large regional centers. This is explained by the extensive street and road network and the intensity of traffic.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was the response provided by the Kyiv City State Administration to the official request of “Pryamoy”.<\/p>\n

It is noted that the municipal enterprise “Center for Traffic Organization” has 749 traffic light facilities, including traffic, pedestrian, bicycle and even tram traffic lights. In total, more than 10 thousand traffic lights<\/strong> have been installed in Kyiv.<\/p>\n

For comparison, only 170 traffic lights operate in Lviv, 112 in Vinnytsia, 229 in Dnipro, 393 in Kharkiv, and 115 in Mykolaiv. Thus, Kyiv has the largest number of traffic lights among all cities in Ukraine.<\/p>\n\t

As a reminder, it was previously reported that in Ukraine, starting May 1, 2025 , the green color of traffic lights was replaced with emerald<\/a> , as this shade is more saturated and better perceived by drivers.<\/p>\n
