On Saturday, September 20, wreckage of an object resembling a Russian strike drone was found in Poland.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This<\/span> was reported<\/span><\/a> by RMF24.<\/span><\/p>\n

The remains of what is likely the last Russian drone to fly into Poland were discovered in K\u0119trzyn County, not far from buildings.<\/span><\/p>\n

The military police and the military prosecutor of the district prosecutor’s office in Olsztyn were notified of the find.<\/span><\/p>\n

Law enforcement officers have removed the discovered debris. Procedural actions are ongoing at the scene. The collected evidence will be transferred to the District Prosecutor’s Office in Lublin, which is investigating this case.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAt this time, we believe that this is the last of the wanted drones that entered Polish territory on the night of September 9-10,\u201d said Daniel Brodowski, spokesman for the district prosecutor\u2019s office in Olsztyn.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to him, the drone found was made of foam plastic, and its condition indicated that it had been lying in the field for several days.<\/span><\/p>\n

As is known, on the night of September 9-10, Russia carried out a massive attack on Ukraine, during which some of the drones violated Polish airspace<\/a> . This forced Warsaw to raise its aviation and activate its air defense forces. In total, 19 drones crossed the Polish border, of which only four were shot down.<\/p>\n

Later, Poland found out the reason for the destruction of a private house in the Lublin Voivodeship<\/a> . It turned out that the house in Wyryki was hit by a missile fired by a Polish F-16 fighter jet. The plane was trying to shoot down a Russian drone during a night attack.<\/p>\n

Against the backdrop of these events, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte announced the launch of Operation Eastern Sentinel<\/a> , and the very next day Poland announced the start of a military operation.<\/p>\n
