Tonight, Earth’s inhabitants will have the opportunity to observe an astronomical phenomenon – a solar eclipse, during which the Moon will supposedly “bite off” part of the Sun.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It will start at 20:29 Kyiv time and peak at 22:41.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to Time and Date forecasts, 16.6 million people will be able to see the rare phenomenon, which is 0.2% of the world’s population.<\/span><\/p>\n

The solar eclipse will be visible in New Zealand, Australia, Antarctica and islands in the Pacific Ocean, where the Moon will block 85% of the Sun.<\/span><\/p>\n

However, it will be impossible to see the phenomenon from Ukraine, as the eclipse will occur when the Sun drops below the horizon.<\/span><\/p>\n

It was previously reported that anyone interested will be able to watch the solar eclipse in online broadcasts<\/a> that will be conducted by astronomical services and scientific organizations.<\/p>\n
