Russian occupiers have completed the withdrawal of their troops from Belarusian territory following the joint Zapad 2025 exercises.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was stated by Andriy Demchenko, a representative of the State Border Service of Ukraine (SBSU), on air during the telethon.<\/p>\n

He explained that neither during the exercises nor after them was any Russian activity recorded in the direction of the Ukrainian border or near it.<\/p>\n

“We actively monitored border patrols, intelligence units, the Ministry of Defense, and the State Border Service to clearly understand how the situation in Belarus was developing. They will not attempt to provoke any kind of attacks toward our border,” Demchenko assured, adding that “all actions and locations of the exercises took place in the interior.”<\/p>\n

He noted that the number of Russian military personnel at the current exercises was insignificant compared to previous years.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, the Zapad-2025 exercises in Belarus were conducted at training grounds deep within the country or in its eastern regions and were said to be defensive in nature.<\/a><\/p>\n

A Lithuanian intelligence officer reportedly stated that up to 30,000 soldiers will participate in the joint Russian-Belarusian military exercises “Zapad-2025.”<\/a><\/p>\n

Incidentally, Poland announced the complete closure of its borders with Belarus on the night of September 12.<\/a> The reason was the large-scale joint Russian-Belarusian military exercises Zapad-2025, which Warsaw views as a potential security threat.<\/p>\n
