The situation in the Kharkiv region remains extremely tense. Russian troops are trying to advance towards Kupyansk from the north, but there is no talk of any encirclement of the city. Ukrainian defenders are holding their positions, restraining the enemy’s attempts to break through.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was announced<\/a> by the spokesman for the Dnipro Regional Administrative District Viktor Tregubov on Suspilny.<\/p>\n

“Kupyansk is now actually Pokrovsk, only on a slightly smaller scale. The situation is very similar. Only there now the Russians are mainly trying to penetrate the city from the north, using all available infrastructural, geographical and other facilities,” Tregubov said.<\/p>\n

According to him, Russian propaganda paints an “alternative reality” and spreads fakes about the alleged surroundings of Kupyansk.<\/p>\n

“In fact, this is not the case, fortunately. But the situation in Kupyansk is not easy,” he emphasized.<\/p>\n

The Ukrainian military continues to defend the city and is doing everything it can to thwart the plans of the occupiers.<\/p>\n

It should be noted that the offensive on Kupyansk is led by the traitor to Ukraine Serhiy Storozhenko<\/a> . He is a former officer who switched sides to Russia 11 years ago. According to analysts from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), the invaders are trying to break through the defenses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in several directions at once, concentrating the main actions on the western bank of the Oskil River.<\/p>\n

The day before, Tregubov said that Russian troops were trying to break through to Kupyansk, using the terrain and terrain features. According to him, the occupiers were pressing the city from several directions and were bringing in small sabotage and reconnaissance groups<\/a> of up to five people.<\/p>\n

We would like to remind you thatover 95% of buildings in Kupyansk have been destroyed and damaged<\/a> , and it is impossible to deliver humanitarian aid there due to the constant activity of Russian drones. <\/p>\n
