Another traitor who helped Russian troops attack Zaporizhia has been sentenced in Ukraine. A Russian military intelligence agent has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for treason.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by<\/a> the Security Service of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

The investigation found that the spy, who worked as a kindergarten security guard, was passing on to the occupiers the coordinates of civilian facilities and critical infrastructure in the region. He was recruited through an acquaintance – a choir member of the UOC (MP), who went to the occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia region and became an accomplice in the spy network. It was through her that the traitor maintained contact with the Russian curator.<\/p>\n

According to the SBU, after its launch in late 2023, the Russians struck residential buildings in Stepnohirsk. The attack killed a 43-year-old civilian and destroyed many homes.<\/p>\n

The agent was exposed by the SBU counterintelligence in January 2024. His phone with chats where he transmitted data to the enemy was seized.<\/p>\n

The court found him guilty of high treason committed by a group of people in conspiracy and sentenced him to 15 years in prison.<\/p>\n

Earlier,the SBU exposed a Russian agent among the military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine<\/a> . A fighter from a strike drone company was passing data on the plans of operations of Ukrainian forces to the FSB.<\/p>\n

The Security Service of Ukraine also exposed and detained an instructor major from one of the air brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine<\/a> , who turned out to be an agent of Russian intelligence. The suspect was preparing strikes on Ukrainian airfields where F-16, Mirage 2000 and Su-24 aircraft are based.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, the SBU detained two Russian informants<\/a> who “leaked” to the occupiers the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Sloviansk and spied on the echelons of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.<\/p>\n
