The Ukrainian General Staff warns: the more difficult it is for Russia to advance on the front, the more often it will try to strike at civilian infrastructure.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This statement was made by the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Andriy Hnatov, in a comment<\/a> to LIGA.net.<\/p>\n

“The more difficult it is for the enemy to achieve any success at the front, the more he will hit civilian infrastructure, trying in this way to force the decisions he needs,” the lieutenant general emphasized.<\/p>\n

According to him, Vladimir Putin has never stopped at terror in his policy, even against his own population. That is why further scaling up of attacks on Ukrainian civilians and rear areas cannot be ruled out.<\/p>\n

At the same time, answering the question about a possible “difficult autumn”, Gnatov refrained from making predictions. He only noted that Russia, as before, will target key facilities on which the country’s vital activity depends.<\/p>\n

Earlier, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Rustem Umerov warned that Russia is increasing the pace of air strikes<\/a> , combining the use of missiles and strike drones, and seeks to increase their number to 1,000 per day.<\/p>\n

Also near the Ukrainian border, approximately 35 kilometers from the demarcation line, the Russian military has set up a new launch site for Shahed attack drones<\/a> .<\/p>\n

At the same time, Ukraine is preparing to move to a new level of countering Russian night attacks<\/a> . Soon, our defense will be able to use at least a thousand interceptor drones per day. <\/p>\n
