Polish Foreign Minister Rados\u0142aw Sikorski issued a strong warning to Russia, declaring that NATO will not be intimidated and is prepared to respond to any Kremlin provocations.<\/strong><\/p>\n

As Polsat News<\/a> reports, he made this announcement during an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council on September 22, convened by Estonia after Russian MiG-31 fighter jets invaded its airspace.<\/p>\n

Sikorsky recalled that the violation occurred only a week after the Russian drone attack on Poland. In his opinion, this is part of the hybrid war that Moscow has been waging against the West for years. He also listed the murders of politicians, journalists, and human rights activists, cyberattacks, arson attacks in various European countries, and attacks on Ukrainian embassies.<\/p>\n

“The UN Security Council has a responsibility to make it clear that we will not tolerate such provocations. I say to the Russian representatives: We know that you do not care about international law and are not capable of living in peace with your neighbors,” Sikorsky said.<\/p>\n

He called the Kremlin’s behavior “a consequence of rabid nationalism and the need for dominance.”<\/p>\n

“And this will not end until you understand that the imperial era is over, and your empire will not be rebuilt. Your three-day ‘special military operation’ could not conquer Donbas even in ten years. In 1914, you accelerated the First World War. Do not start another war,” he stressed.<\/p>\n

At the end, Sikorsky addressed Russia with a direct warning.<\/p>\n

“No one supports your attempts to conquer Ukraine, and we will not be intimidated. If another missile or other object enters our space, intentionally or accidentally, and if it is shot down and the debris falls on NATO territory, do not come here to complain. You have been warned,” he added.<\/p>\n

Previously, Rados\u0142aw Sikorski stated that Poland has a duty to shoot down Russian missiles and drones over the territory of Ukraine<\/a> if their course is directed towards the Polish border.<\/p>\n

Petro Poroshenko also met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland, Rados\u0142aw Sikorski<\/a>, who was in Kyiv on an official visit.<\/p>\n
