In the Ternopil region, police investigators uncovered a corruption scheme organized by the head of the military medical commission of one of the district CCCs.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This<\/span> was reported<\/span><\/a> by the press service of the National Police in the Ternopil region.<\/span><\/p>\n

During the investigation, it was established that a cardiologist who heads the non-staff permanent military medical commission demanded an undue benefit from a conscript for providing false information.<\/span><\/p>\n

In particular, for $500, he was supposed to enter a fictitious diagnosis into the medical records \u2014 a serious cardiac disease.<\/span><\/p>\n

For a patient who was receiving inpatient treatment, a relevant certificate would allow him to obtain disability and a deferral from military service in the future.<\/span><\/p>\n

However, after receiving the money, law enforcement officers detained the suspect and announced suspicion of receiving an illegal benefit by a person providing public services, combined with extortion.<\/span><\/p>\n

He faces imprisonment for a term of 4 to 8 years with confiscation of property, as well as deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term of up to three years.<\/span><\/p>\n

Previously, the Security Service of Ukraine and the National Police exposed the head of one of the divisions of the district CCC of Ivano-Frankivsk region, who is also a deputy of the Nadvirna City Council, for bribery<\/a> .<\/p>\n
