Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the American leader supports strikes on Russian targets – energy and oil facilities.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He spoke<\/a> about it in an interview with Axios.<\/span><\/p>\n

During the UN General Assembly, Zelenskyy asked Trump for a new weapons system that would force Russia to sit at the negotiating table.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI told him yesterday that we need only one thing. We need it, but that doesn\u2019t mean we\u2019ll use it. Because if we have it, it\u2019s additional pressure on Putin to sit down and talk,\u201d the president said.<\/span><\/p>\n

To his request, Trump replied: \u201cWe\u2019ll work on it.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

According to Zelensky, Ukraine will not attack the civilian population, but Russian power centers, including the Kremlin, may be under attack.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThey need to know where the bomb shelters are. They need it. If they don\u2019t stop the war, they will need it anyway. They need to know that we in Ukraine will respond every day. If they attack us, we will respond to them,\u201d the Ukrainian leader emphasized.<\/span><\/p>\n

As a reminder, on the night of September 24 , Russian regions were attacked by drones from several directions at once<\/a> – the strikes fell on the Kursk and Belgorod regions, as well as the city of Taganrog in Rostov Oblast. As a result of the attacks, settlements were left without electricity, there were injuries, and industrial infrastructure was damaged.<\/p>\n

By the way, earlier , units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out strikes on the territory of the Russian Federation<\/a> , hitting important military and economic facilities.<\/p>\n
