The Rosh Hashanah celebration, which lasted several days in Uman, has ended. The Hasidim are gradually leaving the territory of Ukraine. Meanwhile, the checkpoints are recording an increase in passenger traffic. Queues have already formed both at “Shegyny” and “Krakivka”. The situation is similar on the borders with Moldova. The pilgrims note that they felt safe in Ukraine thanks to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and thank the people for their hospitality even during the war.<\/strong><\/p>\n

“Suspilne. Lviv” reports that after the end of the New Year celebrations according to the Jewish calendar, pilgrims began to leave Ukraine, citing<\/a> Svitlana Burda, spokeswoman for the 7th Carpathian Border Detachment.<\/p>\n

According to her, most pilgrims travel in organized groups. The procedures are carried out in accordance with Ukrainian legislation. Border guards work together with other state structures that de facto accompany Hasidim in Ukraine.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the pilgrims themselves say that they felt safe in Ukraine thanks to the efforts of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They also emphasize the hospitality of Ukrainians even during the war.<\/p>\n

“We felt safe thanks to the army. There were times before when I didn’t feel safe in Ukraine, because they look at us and we probably look a little strange. They don’t usually see such unusual people, maybe that’s why. But when they get to know us and we communicate, everything goes very well, and there are no problems,” pilgrim Tonatan Megidish told the publication. <\/p>\n
